The Difference Between Looking Beautiful and Feeling Seen

I think every single client who walks through our doors is absolutely beautiful (inside & out). The moment they show up and sit down in the glam chair they are radiating a light that is so palpable and unique, and yet, they often feel the opposite. I am here to share that I think the true gift of boudoir isn’t necessarily proving a woman’s beauty, but rather making them feel absolutely seen.

My job at its core is to remind you of who you are — the REAL you. I want you to walk out of my studio with a whole new appreciation for yourself, body, heart, mind, soul, and everything in between! You’re likely wondering, “ok, so how do we achieve this because hell yeah”.

Every session begins slowly, sitting in the glam chair, taking a much needed breather while you get pampered by the best in the business. You’ll be offered a light refreshment, snacks off to your side in case you need a bite, and some music playing in the background for vibes.

After an hour or so of us chatting while your best features are emphasized through hair & makeup, it’s time to choose outfits and get started! We will work through styles and options together, and you’ll always have the option to look through out client closet to borrow something you love.

When the session itself begins, we take our time. I LOVEEEE to compliment you, and you better believe it when I say that I mean every word that comes out of my mouth. I will fully pose you and guide you through everything. Movements, facial expressions, hands, legs, and all. This experience is usually 60-100 minutes, depending on if you have chosen a mini or full boudoir session at our Albuquerque studio. I am constantly checking in to make sure everything feels fun and comfortable for you!

At the end of your session, we always talk through next steps. I will put your Polaroids in your giftbag for you to take home and enjoy right away! Take a peek at album and print samples, and ask any questions. It’s basically your time to debrief, decompress, and hangout. I will walk you out and if you wanna hug, cry, laugh, or whatever feels right, we go for it. We’re practically best friends now. :’)
